What a Holiday

Gosh where does the time go? Our holidays went so fast, had a wonderful time arriving on the Sunday at Caloundra finding the place we were staying such a beautiful place situated across from the ocean and so spacious inside. All the plates and kitchen needs were there for us to use.Cooking was a delight and we were able to have good healthy meals whilest we were there . On the Monday we did big tours of the Nut Factory, Big Pineapple and Ginger Factory. learnt a lot about how they were grown and prepared for selling I learnt a lot that day. Tuesday we travelled up to Hervey Bay leaving at 7.30am and arriving home at 9.00pm what a day we had so much to take in, we all had a great time looking for whales Phill saw the first one and sung out--- there they blow--- the boat then headed for them and that was the start to a great afternoon of watching whales play. Took plenty of photos so will look back on them for months to come and just saver that moment. Learnt that one, two are called a pod any more are called population of Whales.

On the Wednesday Ally and Kathy met up with us and we all had morning tea whilst all the kids went into the pool for a swim . After lunch we went down to the beach and fountains and let the girls have a play with the other girls after that we went scrapbook shopping and I enjoyed myself, the shops are bigger over east and they have much more. On Thursday we drove down to Brisbane to meet up with Sue who was over from Adelaide. We managed to get lost but made it in time with a minute to spare lol. Friday took a plane to Sydney and met up with my brother Roy going to Manly for fish and chips, a tradition we have had for a few years now. The girls paddled in the sea and enjoyed themselves with their great uncle. The hotel where we stayed was all glowing as it had just had a make over so we felt very privilege . The only thing that spoilt the time in Sydney was the moths as they were out in force.

We made sure that the girls saw the opera house, Sydney Harbour Bridge, Darling Harbour, all points of interest, Darling Harbour has changed since we were there last but the old carousel was still there for us to ride on. Alas we could not find the tiger but had a great time looking for him. On the Sunday morning went down to Martin Place to look at channel 7 but it was closed due to the big race at Bathurst and so we continued down to walk on the bridge before we had to catch the plane home.
