Hot, Hot, Hot but staying cool

It's been really hot here in Perth this Summer, the weather pattern is surely changing as years go by. Perth had a small amount of rain earlier this week that was most unusual for this time of year. During this hot weather I try to keep the house as cool as I can by keeping the doors shut and curtains closed ect. when it is humid as it has been the air con doesn't work as well , the humidity make too much moisture in the air.

The grands have really enjoyed their holidays so far. When they come to visit we take them swimming at the pool or go to the river where it's nice and cool with the breeze coming off the water. We sit under the shade of the huge trees. We love it there under the trees just sitting and enjoying life whilst having a cup of tea . yes it doesn't take much to please me .
