Caitlins Hand

Cait went into PMH [the childrens hospital here in Perth ] last week and had plastic surgery on her left hand. This operation will allow the span in the fingers and hand to grow. Cait's great Dr. Fiona Woods was pleased after the surgery how do I know this ---- Fiona came out of the theatre with a smile from ear to ear to tell Melissa and Me the news. Of course we will have to wait like all operations to see how the result is this will be about three or four weeks . This surgery was / is just another stepping stone in Cait' s life. Cait may have to have another operation or two in her early teens it really depends on how much she grows. When Cait has finished growing around 15 to 18 the cosmetic operation will be performed to tidy up the palm and between the fingers minimizing the scars. I believe they do this with the taking of Skin and growing it to fit the area this time the extra tissue was taken from her hip area again I am so elated for her as she told Fiona that all she wanted to do was write neatly with her left hand and play her guitar.
