New Year's Eve is on December 31, the final day of the Gregorian year, and the day before New Year's Day.
New Year's Eve is a separate observance from the observance of New Year's Day. New Year's Eve is celebrated with parties and social gatherings spanning the transition of the year at midnight.
Many cultures use fireworks and other forms of noise making in part of the celebration. To me its the end of a phase in my life and a new beginning to enjoy. A lot happened last year and I have many memories some sad and some happy I am looking forward to the coming year 2009 our new home meeting new people. My grands are growing so fast Paige will start High School, Oscar Primary school Both schools are new to them so they have friends to meet Isaac is starting Day care so he has new friends to meet too.
