Its cold and windy out side so I made some pies to keep us warm I have a pie maker so I made a few and store them in the freezer for cold windy days like today. they are quick and easy to heat again when we need them .

Meat Pies

1 onion, finely chopped

1 clove garlic, crushed

500g lean beef mince

1 tablespoon chutney

METHOD
Heat oil in a frying pan. Add onion and cook until browned. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds. Add mince and cook on high heat until browned. Add chutney, stock, potato and carrot to the pan. Simmer, uncovered, for 20 - 25 minutes or until potatoes are cooked and mixture is quite dry. Stir through the peas and test for seasoning (this will depend on how salty and spicy the chutney is). Allow to cool a little .Preheat oven to 200°C (or 180°C for fan forced). or pre heat your pie maker. .Place the mince in the middle of the cut pastry, then place the top on the pies and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden. or place the cut pastry in the pie maker put the mince in the shell place the cut top on the pie and cook for 5 minutes in pie maker enjoy
